I was a PhD Student in a joint scholarship between the Institute for Earth Observation at EURAC Research and the Faculty of Science and Technology at the Free University of Bolzano. The topic of my thesis was the “Multiscale Monitoring of alpine grasslands”. Now I am working in a joint cooperation between the Consiglio Nazionale di Ricerca (CNR) in Florence and EURACs Earth observation instutite in an effort to estimate grassland growth with a multisensor approach.
I am very interested in programming and epecially in R. Being in the field of Earth Observation i have a special interest in Spatial R, Big Data handling and statistical Data analysis. Apart from that I am very interested in exploring the potential of R in terms of new packages, approaches, initiatives. Basically everything that facilitates my everyday data-handling.
