Using a database helps to keep data organized and consistent, and makes it easy to share data with others. A database is also a powerful engine that can run a big part of your analysis efficiently. In this meetup we will talk about how to connect a database with R. We will setup the connection and show how to interact with a postgresql database. We will also briefly see PostGis, the GIS extension to postgresql and how to visualize geographical data from QGis.

See you there!
